At Vishavkarma Furnitures, every piece is handcrafted to order, often from raw solid wood. This policy explains how cancellations, returns and refunds work for orders placed on vishavkarmafurnitures.in or through our showroom/WhatsApp/phone ordering.
1. Order Cancellation
- Ready-stock items: Orders may be cancelled free of charge within 24 hours of placing the order, provided production/dispatch has not yet begun.
- Custom/made-to-order items: Once production has started, cancellation may not be possible. See Section 2 below.
- To cancel, contact us as soon as possible via phone, WhatsApp or email with your order ID.
2. Custom & Made-to-Order Furniture
Most of our furniture is built by hand specifically for your order. For custom-dimension, custom-finish, or bulk/builder orders:
- An advance payment is generally non-refundable once raw material has been cut or production has commenced, as this is work specifically done for you and cannot be resold as-is.
- If you wish to cancel before production begins, the advance (minus any processing charges already incurred) will be refunded.
- Exact cancellation terms for custom/bulk orders will be confirmed in writing (WhatsApp/email) at the time the order is placed.
3. Returns Eligibility
Because our products are large, handcrafted solid-wood items, we are unable to offer "change of mind" returns once an item has been delivered and accepted in good condition. Returns are accepted only in the following cases:
- The item arrived damaged in transit.
- The item delivered does not match what was ordered (wrong product/wrong specification).
- The item has a genuine manufacturing defect, reported within 7 days of delivery.
4. Damaged or Defective Items
Please inspect your furniture at the time of delivery in front of our delivery team wherever possible. If you notice damage or a defect:
- Do not accept delivery if damage is severe and clearly visible — note it on the delivery receipt and contact us immediately.
- If a defect is noticed after delivery, report it within 7 days with clear photos/video via WhatsApp or email, along with your order ID.
- We will arrange an inspection and, where the claim is verified, offer a free repair, replacement, or refund at our discretion.
5. Wrong Item Delivered
If you receive a product that does not match your confirmed order (wrong design, wood type, or dimensions due to our error), let us know within 7 days of delivery. We will arrange pickup of the incorrect item and either deliver the correct item or issue a full refund, at no extra cost to you.
6. Refund Process & Timelines
- Approved refunds for online payments are processed back to the original payment method (UPI/card/net banking) used at checkout.
- Refunds are typically initiated within 5–7 business days of approval and may take an additional 5–10 business days to reflect in your account, depending on your bank/payment provider.
- For Cash on Delivery orders, refunds (where applicable) are made via bank transfer or UPI to a verified account provided by you.
7. Non-Refundable Situations
- Change of mind after a custom order has entered production.
- Damage caused after delivery due to misuse, improper handling, or normal wear and tear.
- Minor natural variations in wood grain, knots, or tone, which are inherent to solid wood and not considered defects.
- Items where the original packaging/condition has been significantly altered after delivery, outside of normal use.
8. How to Request a Cancellation/Refund
